This was my first (but hopefully not last!) experience of the Karst region of Slovenia which is renowned for its strong and flavourful Teran wine along with many others. Our tourguide was a delight to spend time with and made the experience easy, comfortable, educational as well as fun and delicious! We were treated to an amazing variety of cuisine, wine and sights, and we spent our time talking to locals who were friendly and made our trip a complete delight! We are hoping to return soon!

Our guide was a sympathetic woman who knew a lot about Slovenia wines. We were picked up directly in front of the hotel and drove in a comfortable minivan through the enchanting autumn landscape towards Vipava. The food was plentiful and indigenous. The selection of wines was very wide and we got a good impression of the local viniculture. We were particularly impressed by the effect of the cold Burja wind on the grape harvest.
