Day #1 - Welcome to Slovenia
Transfer from Ljubljana (or by request any other) airport to Bled, one of the nicest alpine holiday spots. Welcome dinner in the local restaurant.
Day #2 - Bled & Bohinj lake
A short drive to Lake Bohinj, a pearl in the Triglav national park. Private hiking with your guide for beautiful views and a traditional lunch of local products. Afternoon free to enjoy Bled or Bohinj. Dinner.
Day #3 - Bovec, Kobarid
Visit Planica, world’s longest ski-jumping hill and running or hiking to the top of it – get ready. Drive up to Vršič, one of the most scenic alpine road passes. The trip with few stops on the way continues with a picturesque drive down the land of the emerald Soča river. Before settling down in Bovec, we will visit the first war museum in Kobarid. The Kobarid Museum was proclaimed for Best European Museum. Your private guide to the museum will explain you more about the history of Slovenia and Europe. Before dinner, we will explore Soca river canyons.
Day #4 - Hiking or walking activity
Activity in the mountains! Hiking tour to the Alps or walking the 21 km long Alpe-Adria trail to admire the emerald Soca river. Optional water activities (kayaking, hydrospeed, canyoning, zip line). Dinner at the local restaurant.
Day #5 - Goriska brda wine region
In Brda, you will visit the lookout tower offering a superb view over the endless vineyards, cherry orchards, and olive trees. A short walk through Smartno stone village with Olive oil tasting. Wine tasting and enjoying the gastronomy of the Brda wine region. With e-bikes you will explore Brda’s idyllic landscape, nestled halfway between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Dinner with wine pairing.
Day #6 - Vipava valley and Karst wine regions
You will have a glimpse into the wine production in two different wine sub-regions. Taste the indigenous wines while visiting two wine cellars. Enjoy the beautiful views and small villages where time stops and joy starts.
Day #7 - Škocjan caves and Ljubljana
After a short drive, we’ll visit the Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site. These spectacular caves are home to the world’s largest known underground river canyon and a natural phenomenon of global importance Exceptional lunch at Kozina. Drive to Ljubljana, the sparkling capital of Slovenia. A guided walk through the old town. Farewell dinner.
